How To Make Your Mouse Cursor Invisible In Games Mac

During a PowerPoint presentation, the mouse pointer sometimes vanishes making it difficult to control the application. Here’s how to adjust.

You can Set the cursor style and make it invisible. To replace it with your own sprite, you'd set the sprite's position every tick to the mouse's position (after having added a mouse object). Smitchell: you don't need to set the mouse cursor to invisible every tick like you did (a blank event = every tick). Only set it on startup it's enough. One of the easiest ways to locate your vanished mouse cursor is to right-click. When you right-click, the mouse cursor is immediately visible. Try to Bring Mouse Cursor to Dock. I agree that you are not able to see the mouse pointer, but on the trackpad or using the mouse, act as if you are moving down to the Dock. Press Right Click: Sometimes the Mouse Cursor returns when you press the Right Click button of the Mouse. You need to press the Right Click or Control-Click to open the right click menu and see the cursor on Mac screen. If you are using your Mac’s Trackpad then click with two fingers at the same time.

According to Microsoft this is a feature and not a bug… The pointer vanishes so users are not distracted by it during the presentation. You can set the behavior of the pointer to always hide, always be visible, or have PowerPoint automatically handle it. Here’s how:

  1. Open your PowerPoint document and startpresenting the slide show.
  2. Right click any part of a presented slide and chosePointer Options from the menu. Next, clickArrow Options, then choose the desired action of the pointer. In this case we never want the pointer to disappear, so let’s pick Visible.
  3. The mouse pointer will not vanish during this presentation. However, this feature will reset the next time you present this slide show. There is no way to set this feature permanently. 4. If the cursor disappears on you, click the right mouse (or trackpad) button to access the above menu. Remember, ESC will always stop a presentation too.
