How To: Keyboard Shortcut To Enter And Exit Full Screen Apps In OS X Lion
How To Exit A Game On Macbook
With Apple introducing full screen apps in Mac OS X Lion you may be wondering if there is an easier way to use the feature without dragging the mouse pointer to the top right hand of the application window you are working in.
I play games on my Mac but every now and then they freeze. I usually have to turn off my MAc then turn it back on. How do I just exit out of the non responding game? I try CMD+OPTION+W to close all windows, CMD+TAB to go to the next program, nothing works.
Well you can perform a keyboard shortcut. Simply press Command-Control-F on your keyboard, as shown below, and supported applications will be presented in full screen. Press the same combination again and the application will return to the previous windowed view.
- My kid downloaded a couple of games. He plays them, the entire screen is used by the game. The options menu does not have an exit button. The settings neither. This is every game played on this phone. Not obvious at least. I just took a link to their website that was built into the game. That finally got me to where I could kill.
- A lot of programs use Command+F to to switch to a windowed-mode, then revealing the menu bar so that you can go back to full-screen after doing other things on your Mac. In some cases, the game even pauses when you click away from the windowed version.
